About autism
Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects how a person perceives and interacts with their environment and other people. Autism is not a disease – it is a difference in brain development that leads to a particular way of thinking, learning and behaving.

Don't be alone
Life sometimes presents challenges that throw you off balance, but at the same time give you the opportunity to grow. Faced with a diagnosis of autism, it is important to realise that you are not alone. Helping your child, taking care of yourself and supporting your community are steps that help families find strength and build strong bonds.

“
“Volunteering with autistic children and adolescents is for me a path of self-discovery – it is an opportunity to get to know myself in a different way, to get to know autistic children and adolescents, to give them the most precious thing that a person has: time and knowledge. To go through life together, to show them, and to discover with them, how many beautiful things there are around us, things that are overlooked every day.”
