Join as a volunteer

Volunteering is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful change and strengthen a community where everyone feels accepted. At the Panevėžys Autism Association “Rain Children,” volunteers are an essential part of our work, helping implement various initiatives and raise awareness about autism.

Why volunteer?

Contribute to a meaningful mission: Together we are building a society where autistic individuals and their families feel understood and supported.
Gain new skills: By participating in events, training sessions, and creative activities, you’ll develop organizational, communication, and social experience.
Strengthen the community: Become part of a team that supports families facing the challenges of an autism diagnosis.

How can you help?

✅ Event support: Assist in organizing and running association events and creative activities.
✅ Family support: Help children and parents participate in activities or provide practical assistance.
✅ Raising awareness: Help spread the word about autism and our work through public relations, social media, or educational projects.
✅ Professional support: If you’re a specialist – psychologist, educator, occupational therapist, or speech therapist – your knowledge and expertise are highly valued.

How to become a volunteer?

🔹 Short-term volunteering:
If you’d like to help but have limited time, you can volunteer during events, creative activities, or one-time projects.

🔹 Long-term volunteering – become a mentor:
Join our BBBS (Big Brothers Big Sisters) program and become a mentor to an autistic child or youth. Long-term volunteering allows you to build a strong connection, inspire confidence, and help a child grow and thrive.

🔹 Volunteering for school community service hours:
We welcome students who want to contribute to our activities, assist in events, or support association initiatives. It’s a great way to complete your service hours while gaining valuable experience and making a real difference.

Together, we can do more!
By joining the Panevėžys “Rain Children” volunteer team, you become part of an important mission – creating a supportive, inclusive, and understanding society. Become part of our community and help make positive changes that impact both families and society as a whole.
